Hanukkah in Cuba - jardines de la reina

ראש עמוד

General

A journey back in time. The Gardens of the Queen in Cuba are the "pearl" of the Caribbean and allow divers to explore the coral reef just as it was 100 years ago. One of the few places in the world where you can see a healthy and pristine ecosystem, thanks to the isolation of this marine area from the outside world, during the last century. Even today, there are only around 1,000 divers annualy in this slice of heaven.

If you happened to skip the video above, it's well worth watching it and listen to every word these people have to say about this amazing place.

The Dives

The Gardens of the Queen are an underwater paradise. The water visibility reaches 30 meters and above. The diving conditions are extremely comfortable. Deep walls all covered with colorful sponges and corals are the typical set up. The main attraction is, of course, the abundance of sharks. There are about 6 species of sharks roaming around, those are the Silky shark, Caribbean shark, Lemon shark, Blacktip shark, Hammerhead shark and Nurse shark.
